Wonders of the World - Part 1 of 3

These next few weeks we have some special goodies. There is currently an internet vote to choose the top 7 existing wonders of the world out of 21 candidates. All these candidates are wonders in their own right. Coincidentally, the last two sets of mobile wallpapers are of candidates - the Statue of Liberty and the Great Wall of China. These next few weeks, we'll have mobile wallpapers of the other 19 candidates. This week it's the Acropolis in Athens, Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Eiffel Tower (which also appeared here in this post) in Paris, Saint Basil cathedral at the Kremlin in Moscow, the Incan city of Machu Picchu in Peru, and Neuschwanstein Castle (which also appeared here in this post) in Germany.

This Week's Theme: The Great Wall of China

This week we have photos of the world's largest man-made structure: The Great Wall of China. Originally designed to keep barbarians out, it's now a tourist attraction, which arguably has the opposite effect...

This Week: A few Fun Links

This week, instead of photos, I offer a few mobile links. The links are available from the main mobile site (http://weeklymg.com/wml), but they're also here:

If you need mobile images this week, you can find a huge supply by searching Flickr mobile photos.

If you're on the go and need a laugh, you can get
David Letterman Top 10 Lists.

If you need to search online, you can use Google (XHTML - for more recent phones) or Yahoo.

This Week's Theme: The Statue of Liberty

Vacation

No goodies from your host this week, but I can send you to a couple of sites which offer free videos for mobile. This is not an endorsement or guarantee of anything on these sites - just some information for your perusal. The sites are eyeka and zoovision.

This Week's Theme: Historic Baseball Images

This week's goodies are photos and portraits of baseball stars from the early 1900's. The original images come from the U.S. Library of Congress web site.
